It’s been a very busy year for so far and at the moment it doesn’t look like 2020 will be much quieter. The next release will be Before Safe Haven: Jules, which for the time being is only going to be available to mailing list subscribers. What started as an idea for a novella is now looking like a novel. I’m really enjoying getting into the head space of one of my favourite characters and I hope you will as well.

In other release news, Safe Haven: Reap of the Righteous will be coming out very soon on audio, narrated by the wonderful Kim Bretton. Next month, Kim goes into the studio to record E of E 4 and Safe Haven: Ice. I really cannot wait and I am absolutely over the moon that she has agreed to voice the new series too. I made an announcement on the fan club earlier on this week. There will be a slight delay to the release of The End of Everything: Book 6 and Safe Haven: Book 6. The reason for this is that I’ve started working on a brand-new project. It’s post-apocalyptic, but it’s nothing to do with zombies. What I can tell you is that it is on a bigger scale to anything I’ve done before and I’m really excited about it. I’m hoping for a March release for the first book. But don’t worry, before then, there are going to be the two titles I’ve previously listed as well as an exclusive Safe Haven release for all mailing list subscribers, which will feature some of your favourite Safe Haven characters.

I’m loving writing this series and I’ve had a lot of people contacting me, telling me how much they are loving it too. For me, that makes it all the more rewarding. I have discussed this to a degree before, but when I write, I try to put myself in the minds and behind the eyes of the characters. For this reason, writing is a very insular process for me. It is always exciting, and it is always full of surprises. I can only write what I draw from the process and to that end, I am writing for myself. So, when people tell me how much they’re liking the story, or how they love watching the characters grow, it is both a huge relief and incredibly gratifying. Thank you to everyone who has passed on your kind comments, messages and reviews, I am delighted you’re enjoying the series and I really hope you love Book 5 too.

The End of Everything: Book 4 is now available on Kindle. Although The End of Everything is set in the same universe as Safe Haven, it’s a lot of fun writing about the apocalypse from a different perspective.

I love Wren and Robyn. They are just two ordinary girls who have been thrown into an extraordinary situation and the only thing that is keeping them from falling apart is their bond. In that respect their relationship is similar to Mike and Emma’s, but whereas Mike turns into a complete psychopath when somebody messes with his family, Wren falls back on her deep-rooted logic, focus and will to win.

When Wren first appeared in Safe Haven – Ice, there was just something about the feisty youngster that told me she had a story to tell. Turns out Wren and Robyn have lots of stories to tell and they’re meeting some interesting people along the way.

I really hope you enjoy Book 4. For those of you familiar with the Safe Haven books you’ll know a little bit of what’s around the corner. What can I tell you about the journey to come? Let’s just say it’s a bumpy ride.
